Cellulite, as a concept, was introduced by French doctors to describe dimpled subcutaneous fat that appears in women – and in about 10% of men – on the buttocks, thighs, upper arms, and lower abdomen. It is believed that cellulite is caused by the accumulation of toxic substances in body tissues, which in turn results from the overconsumption of refined and processed foods and insufficient intake of fruits and vegetables. This leads to pockets of water, fat, and waste products that give the skin a dimpled appearance – the so-called “orange peel effect.”
In cellulite therapy, attention is directed to the specific body areas where cellulite reduction is desired, using various tools such as special essential oils, creams, and often silicone cups. The aim is to improve elasticity, metabolism, and blood circulation in the targeted area, which in turn reduces cellulite.
The procedure is similar to classical massage techniques (performed on a massage table without clothing). To achieve visible results, a longer course of treatment is recommended. The duration of the treatment course depends on the severity of the problem and will be determined during consultation.
Please note: bruising may appear on the body after the session!
